You will help build morale\, reinforce our message\, and keep the action focused and connected.  \nThis Zoom training is for **local volunteers** who want to serve as Chant Leads at No Kings on **Saturday\, March 28 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM** (all volunteers are expected to be at check-in at 11 AM\, while the protest begins at 1:00 PM). The training will cover how to lead approved chants\, use call-and-response effectively\, read the room\, coordinate with Safety Marshals and De-escalators\, and know when to pause or stop chanting if tensions rise or support is needed nearby.  \n**Choose one training:** \n– Thursday\, March 12th at 6:00 PM \n– Monday\, March 16th at 6:00 PM \n– Thursday\, March 19th at 6:00 PM \nPlease only RSVP if you are local to Cherokee County or the surrounding area and available to volunteer **in person** on March 28th. DESCRIPTION:**Step up for your community and help keep No Kings in downtown Woodstock safe\, supported\, and prepared.** \n**Medics** play a key role in providing calm\, basic care during the event by helping people hydrate\, cool down\, and get support when needed. \nThis 40-minute zoom (online) training is for **local volunteers** who want to serve as Medics at No Kings on **Saturday\, March 28th from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM** (all volunteers are expected to be at check-in at 11 AM\, while the protest begins at 1:00 PM). The training will cover the role of a protest medic\, basic first aid support\, how to recognize overheating and heatstroke\, when to call 911\, how to coordinate with Safety Marshals\, and how to respond calmly without going beyond your scope. ICU’s training materials also note that medics serve as visible support\, may help with water\, and are expected to stay calm\, ask permission before touching anyone\, and provide support without overstepping.  \n**Choose one training:** \n– Saturday\, March 14th at 2:00 PM \n– Wednesday\, March 18th at 5:00 PM \n– Wednesday\, March 25th at 5:00 PM \nAfter the training\, participants will receive a short quiz. Passing the quiz is required to serve as a Medic at this event. The training materials also indicate medics should arrive for the mandatory on-site volunteer briefing before the action.  \nPlease do not RSVP unless you are **local** to Cherokee County or the surrounding area and available to volunteer **in person** on March 28th.
