SUMMARY:Weekly Community Protest
DESCRIPTION:**More and more is happening around us\, and more and more is being normalized that should never be normal.** \nAttacks on rights\, threats to democracy\, political cruelty\, government overreach\, and policies that harm vulnerable people do not happen in isolation. They build. They spread. They rely on silence\, exhaustion\, and people looking away. \n**We refuse to look away.** \n**That’s why we show up every week.** \nOur weekly protest is a visible\, community-led act of resistance in Cherokee County. We gather to stand together\, speak out\, and remind our neighbors that people here are paying attention. We believe in democracy\, dignity\, accountability\, and a future shaped by people power\, not fear. \nThis protest creates a consistent space for community members to come together around the issues affecting our lives\, our rights\, and our future. Some weeks\, the urgency may look different. The purpose does not. \n**We gather for our rights.** \n**We gather for our community.** \n**We gather for our future.** \n**———** \n**📍 Intersection of Hwy 92 & Main St\, Woodstock\, GA** \n**🕓 Every Tuesday • 4:00–5:00 PM** \n**📣 Hosted by Indivisible Cherokee United’s Activism & Mobilization Committee** \n_**This is a nonviolent\, community-centered protest. We organize peacefully and ask all participants to help maintain a safe\, respectful\, and lawful public presence.**_

SUMMARY:GOTV Lit Drop for Scott Sanders for GA House District 23 - Indivisible Cherokee United
DESCRIPTION:Join **Indivisible Cherokee United** for a high-impact **GOTV lit drop in Canton** supporting **Scott Sanders**\, the Democratic candidate running for Georgia House District 23. This is a simple but powerful action: we’ll be placing informational literature on doorsteps to boost name recognition and turnout in a key district — **no door-knocking or conversations required**. \nThis is one of the most effective ways to increase visibility for Scott’s campaign and reach voters who might not otherwise get the information they need before 2026. If you’ve been wanting to help but prefer low-contact volunteer work\, this is the perfect opportunity. \n📍 **Canton\, GA**\n(Exact address sent after RSVP) \n📅 **December 4th & 5th** \n⏰ **Time: 2 PM – 4 PM** \n
——— \nWe’ll provide:\n• literature\n• route lists\n• quick training\n• safety guidance\n• everything you need to make an impact \nAll you need to bring is comfortable shoes\, a charged phone\, and a willingness to help strengthen our local democracy. \nLet’s show up for Scott and for HD 23 — all support helps shape the electorate we’ll walk into 2026 with. \n_**Indivisible Cherokee United events are peaceful and lawful. We do not permit weapons or violent conduct at any gathering/event.**_

SUMMARY:Help Stock Papa’s Pantry: Food Drop - Indivisible Cherokee United
DESCRIPTION:**Hosted by Indivisible Cherokee United — Activism & Mobilization Committee** \nCherokee County families need us — now more than ever. We’re hosting an emergency food drive to support Encompass Ministries (Papa’s Pantry)\, a longstanding Woodstock nonprofit providing food assistance\, stability support\, and compassion to neighbors in crisis. \n**From now through November 17\, we’re collecting high-need items to help stock their pantry — and you can make a direct\, immediate impact.** When you RSVP\, you’ll be able to choose a drop-off timeslot. The exact drop-off address will be sent privately to confirmed volunteers before their scheduled time. \n✅ **WHAT TO DONATE** \n**MOST NEEDED ITEMS** \n* Jelly / Peanut Butter \n* Boxed Dinners \n* Coffee / Tea \n* Canned Meat \n* Soups / Chili \n* Canned or Dry Milk \n* Beans (Canned or Dry) \n* Dry Potatoes \n* Macaroni & Cheese \n* Flavored Rice / Pasta \n* Spaghetti Sauce \n* Oatmeal / Grits / Cereal \n* Bread / Muffin Mix \n* Dry Pasta \n* Canned Vegetables \n* Canned Fruits \n**HOLIDAY ITEMS** \n* Stuffing \n* Cranberry Sauce \n* Canned Pumpkin \n* Cornbread Mix \n* Chicken / Beef Broth \n* Velveeta Cheese Blocks \n* Pie Fillings \n* Pecans \n❤️ **WHY THIS MATTERS** \nFamilies across Cherokee County are feeling real strain right now — especially with the federal government shutdown leaving many without pay or access to essential support. But even outside moments like these\, too many of our neighbors regularly struggle to keep food on the table. \n**No one should ever have to go hungry — shutdown or not. Access to food is a basic human need\, and community care becomes even more important during times of instability.** \nEncompass Ministries has supported Cherokee families since 1998\, offering food assistance\, employment strategies\, and life-skills training rooted in compassion and dignity. Every item you donate stays right here in our community and helps a neighbor get through a hard moment. \n📅 **DROP-OFF SCHEDULING** \nWhen you RSVP\, you’ll be able to choose a date/time that works for you. \n✅ **The donation drop-off address is in Woodstock and will be sent privately before your selected time slot.** \nOn **November 18th**\, ICU’s Activism & Mobilization Committee will deliver all collected food to **Encompass Ministries** between **10:30 AM and 2:30 PM**! \n🚫 **NONVIOLENCE & SAFETY EXPECTATIONS** \nThis is a peaceful\, community-focused drop-off. All attendees must arrive with kindness and respect. **No weapons\, aggressive behavior\, or disruptive conduct of any kind** will be permitted. We’re here to support our neighbors — please help us keep this space safe and welcoming for everyone.
